A hold on your card at pick-up, or cash with a receipt. Not a payment: OMR 500 (Basic), OMR 250 (Plus) or OMR 150 (Full). Released after return.
Damage to the car
The most you pay per accident: OMR 500 (Basic, included), OMR 250 (Plus, +OMR 5/day) or OMR 100 (Full, +OMR 12/day).

Yes, in daylight. Lower the tyre pressure and stay in low range: the compressor, recovery boards and recovery rope are in the car. If you have never driven on sand, start with small dunes or take a local guide.
Third-party insurance with Dhofar Insurance, valid in Oman: injury and damage to others, personal accident cover for the driver and passengers, medical expenses and 24/7 roadside assistance. For damage to the rental car, your package sets the most you pay per accident: OMR 500 (Basic, included), OMR 250 (Plus) or OMR 100 (Full).

Basic and Plus: up to OMR 1,500 for a rollover or an accident with no other vehicle involved. Tyres, glass and underbody are outside the maximum: you pay what they cost to repair or replace.
